Fans have spoken out about an 'underrated' action movie, declaring one of its iconic scenes to have the 'coolest death' in a film.

Back in 2008, Wanted was released in theaters, starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie.

The film tells the story of Wesley Gibson (played by McAvoy) who finds out he has special superhuman physical powers.

After Wesley's father is murdered, he's recruited into a secret society of assassins by Jolie's character, Fox. Here, Wesley is able to use his powers to their full ability.

Viewers have called the movie 'pretty nuts' but a fun watch, with one writing on Reddit: "A normal everyday guy finds out that he has special bullet bending abilities and is critical to the fate of the world.

"A fate that is controlled by a loom interpreted by a corrupt organization.

"Mix in a couple of double crosses, murder montages, and a hell of a lot of bullet bending, and you got one of the wildest movies of the 2000s."

Despite the wild plot, fans have called the movie 'underrated', and even credit it with having the 'coolest death' in a film.

In the scene, Jolie's character, Fox, manages to kill five people - and herself - with a single bullet.

While people were impressed with the iconic movie moment, many agreed that it defied physics and was actually physically impossible IRL.

One wrote: "Nahhhhhhhh. Those physics don’t check out at all."

Another said: "Physics don’t matter in movies."

A third added: "Bullets don't work like that."

"Didn’t care that this film defied physics, I loveddd it," said a fourth.

Here's the scene in question below:

After the movie was released, many people looked into whether it was actually possible to 'curve a bullet', including the crew on TV show Mythbusters, who debunked the idea that a bullet can be 'curved' away from its direction of travel.

To understand if it was possible, the team went to a shooting range and set up some targets.

They each tried to mimic what happened in the scene, but nobody was able to accomplish it.

Instead, they made a robot that could swing the gun at speeds impossible for a human to achieve.

Using paper to record the path of the bullet, the team tried again, but the bullet still travelled along a straight path.

The team declared the myth as 'busted' after determining that it wasn't physically possible.

Still a pretty cool scene, though.
