A screening of Disney's latest live action remake The Little Mermaid descended into chaos when a brawl between two families broke out in an Orlando cinema.

In footage captured by TikTok user, @soso_hyppolite, the two parents can be seen arguing whilst the movie plays on the screen behind them.

The yelling kept escalating as more and more adults seemingly got involved in the argument.

In the background, one cinema-goer can be heard saying: "I need a refund!"

A man can also be heard seemingly trying to diffuse the argument.

The brawl was captured in a video which has gained more than five million views on TikTok.

In a follow-up video explaining what had happened, the TikToker who'd captured the footage said that fight was 'over a seat'.

"The lady that was saying 'in front of my daughter, in front of my daughter', her and her family bought that whole row." she said.

"And the lady she was arguing with, her and her family bought the row in front of that row. I guess she thought nobody was going to come for those seats.

"When the girl came and told her 'This is my seat', the lady caught an attitude and told her she should go and sit somewhere else as there were other empty seats.

"Eventually somebody ran outside to go get security and security came and kicked both parties out."

So, this was a row about a row essentially.

She then went on to say that the cinema had offered everybody in the audience a refund and that they would restart the movie 'to the point where they started arguing', however, the mum chose not to get a refund as she 'loves' Halle Bailey, who played Ariel in the film.

However, fans were disgusted with the conduct of the two sparring families.

One viewer wrote: "And this is why I’ll wait for it to stream on Disney Plus. This behavior is just straight uncalled for especially in front of children."

While another commented: "This why I wait a few weeks until a new movie comes out. It be way to crowded for me! Way to many ignorant people that want to be loud and rude!"

Another fellow TikTok user said: "Halle trying to swim with Sebastian and they trying to fight. People need to control their emotions better this is wild,"

And someone else joked: "Not during Halle’s Little Mermaid! The AUDACITY!"
