Marvel fans in disbelief after realizing McDonald’s spoiled the biggest surprise in new Captain America movie

The surprise character in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World film may have been spoiled back in April

Nothing sucks more than spoilers for a film you're excited about, but Marvel fans have realized that one of the biggest surprises may have been spoiled by none other than McDonalds.

And if there's anything Marvel is well-known for, it's how they keep their filming secrets closely guarded.

I mean, why else do you think they gave Tom Holland fake scripts for Avengers: Infinity War?

However, after the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World dropped on July 12, fans were stunned to see a never-before seen character at the end.

The upcoming Marvel movie sees Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) take to the mantle of Captain America after Steve Roger's retirement in Avengers: Infinity War and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

And now, he must protect the world from a global threat after an international incident.

The Red Hulk, who in the comics is Thaddeus Ross, is set to appear and at least interact with Captain America’s shield as he is seen lodging it in the floor in the trailer. Yikes.

General Thaddeus or ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross was previously seen in the MCU and was played by William Hurt, but following his death in 2022, is set to be replaced by Harrison Ford.

Now where does the spoiler come into all this ?

Well back in April, a McDonalds' ad from Brazil showed some collector toy plushies tied to the movie that would soon be available.

Unfortunately, the plushies on show were characters in the upcoming film, including the Red Hulk.

Amazingly, somehow many Marvel fans weren’t aware that the cat was pretty much out of the bag.

But it seems those that did realize it kept it to themselves and as many people in the comment’s section for the trailer have been losing their minds of the appearance of Red Hulk.

“RED HULK HOLY S***,” one stunned YouTuber user wrote.

“Seeing a glimpse or Red Hulk got me excited. I just can't wait to think what Tim Blake Nelson will look like as the leader,” another added.

“Sam is definitely getting the super soldier serum ain’t no way he’s beating the red hulk without it wonder who he’s gonna team up with too,” a third commented.

“Man I've never been so hyped for a Captain America movie more than the other 2 Captain America movies I can't wait to see this movie And Harrison Ford's the big red menace,” a fourth added.

Personally, I wish they kept this as a tightly guarded secret until the release of the film, but the trailer does get you a bit hyped.

Captain America: A Brave New World is expected to be in theatres on February 14, 2025.
