Fans of American Horror Story are threatening to boycott the latest season after a recent teaser trailer revealed their latest guest star, Kim Kardashian.

Back in April, it was confirmed Kim would be involved in the long-running horror show, following a teaser trailer for the 12th season, titled Delicate.

Both series veteran Emma Roberts and Kim shared an Instagram video on their profiles confirming the casting news, which was set to the unsettling broken tune of 'Rock a-Bye Baby'.

They also both included incredibly vague captions, with Emma writing: "This summer… Kim and I are DELICATE", and Kim simply included an eye and blood drop emoji.

Even though AHS is no stranger to welcoming famous guests, including the likes of Lady Gaga, fans were left pretty shocked to see The Kardashians star involved, with some even threatening to boycott the show as a result.

And them voices have certainly not disappeared here in July, as FX yesterday (20 July) released a new trailer for season 12, which of course featured a first look at Kim in character.

The teaser trailer introduces and gives a first look at Emma Roberts, Cara Delevingne and Kim.

The celebrity trio can be seen in a circle of white-haired women clad with spidery gloves and full glam (very on-brand for Kim), lurching from side-to-side as the lullaby 'Rock-a-bye Baby' is eerily sung overhead - it's giving witches in Macbeth vibes.

Roberts is the first to be introduced to the camera - shown with odd spectacles with a series of additional smaller lenses - staring right at viewers.

We then seen a bunch of more scary things, including a cradle, crib, birds, a nest and egg are all images which flit across the screen, until we're left with a final image of Kim clutching a baby.

It really couldn't have got any more spooky if it tried.

Despite that, many were just simply unimpressed with Kim's involvement on the show and flocked over to social media to provide their thoughts.

One person wrote: "You had me until I saw Kim Kardashian. Now forget it. No thank you. Next!"

A second added: "Finally looks more old-school AHS but still disappointed about K Kardashian getting a part.

"There are actors who have spent hard-earned money to graduate with high-honors from colleges and institutes. Give them a break."

"Sorry, adding @KimKardashian to the cast after the disaster that was last season is enough for me to finally jump off the bandwagon," a third remarked.

And a fourth simply said: "Lost me at Kim ngl."

However, there are some fans that are thrilled to see Kim involved, with one taking to Twitter and penning: "Oh Kim looks so good in the AHS promo."
