There’s a whole load of arguments out there over what is the best dating etiquette - especially when it comes to first dates.

Like, how long should it last? Who should pay for the cheque? Or more specifically, the idea of men asking for money back after being rejected by their date.

But it’s another thing to ask your date for their bank details straight up.

A podcaster has gone viral for her approach to first dates and discussing money.

Sofia Franklyn used to co-host Call Her Daddy with Alexandra Cooper and now chats to celebrity guests on her Sofia with an F podcast.

But the 31-year-old recently threw her listeners into a madness as she admitted an important part of her dating habits.

Guys, if you’re hoping to land yourself a date with Franklyn, be prepared for her to ask for you bank account details.

Yes, the influencer makes her matches share their info with her right on the very first date.

She said: “I’m not joking, I’ve asked the last three dudes I’ve dated for their bank account info on the first date.”

The episode’s guest, content creator Leo Skepi, replied: “I don’t judge people’s actions, I look at the intention behind it.

“So, why do you ask for that?”

Franklyn revealed she wants to find out the information straight from the go because she only wants ‘to date a wealthy guy that has money’.

The podcaster added: “I think, you know, I have a job. I’m very successful. So I think I have every f**king right to be like, ‘Hi, are we on the same level, or am I wasting my time?’”

She made the admission during Sofia with an F.

But the response on X, formerly known as Twitter, hasn't been great as users were quick to slam her as a ‘gold digger’ and say she’s ‘fishing in the wrong fishing holes’.

Another added she should ‘know that a bank balance is rarely a reflection of what someone is worth’.

While one person said: “No I wouldn’t give her that info - but I’m not her demographic to begin with. I’m not on her radar, and neither are MOST any of the other dudes in the replies.”

However, one user praised the podcaster, saying: "Smart Girl, she know what she wants."

In a slightly different dating style, there’s been tales of men sending their dates a Venmo request after their first date didn’t work out.

One woman recalled her date handing his credit card over to pay for their drinks in a Brooklyn bar.

But when she later told him she didn’t want to see him again, he asked her to send over the money for the drinks.

“I was in complete shock,” she said. “It made it seem like the only reason he would offer to pay for my drinks was that he expected something from me.”
