Katelynn Ordone has broken her silence following the death of her child and taken to TikTok to address her family’s supporters.

Last week, police confirmed that Katelynn, Jaelan, and their son Preston were involved in a fatal car crash.

Preston, best known as viral TikTok star 'Okay Baby', tragically died in the ordeal, and his parents were left seriously injured.

Police explained that both parents had been taken to hospital and were being treated for their severe injuries, while noting that the two-year-old Preston had died as a result of his injuries.

Louisiana State Police said in a Facebook post: "The driver and front passenger, who were both properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Preston, who was seated in the rear, but improperly restrained in a child safety seat, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries."

The statement the police released caused a stir, as they alleged that the child was not adequately strapped in to the backseat when their car veered off the road and hit a tree.

In a new video, Katelynn did not address this controversy, but thanked her supporters for asking about the family's condition and offering kind words.

Speaking in the video, she said: “Hey guys, this is Katelynn, Preston’s mom and I just wanted to come on here and give ya’ll an update because I have been hearing about all the love and support that you have been giving.

“It means so much to us in a time like this.

“There is a little bit of a story I don’t even know how I am going to put this video together."

The mother explained the condition of her husband, where she was now, that she had been discharged.

She also thanked all of her supporters for offering kind words as the family struggle to deal with the reality of the situation.

She continued: “I was discharged out of the hospital yesterday, my husband is still in the hospital so we are staying at an air bnb close to him so that we can see him.

“None of us really understand why or how this could happen but ya’ll support has made a big difference in all of this.

“I may not be able to watch everything, I may not be able to reply to every comment because it is really hard.

“I am still seeing some things and hearing how much ya’ll love him and it means a lot.”

In the wake of the urgent medical attention that they needed a GoFundMe page has been created to help them pay for it all.
