A manager of a legal brothel has shared the typical type of clientele the establishment gets.

Catherine De Noire has been a manager at a brothel for almost a decade and, in her own words, she's 'seen it all'.

Catherine has shared a lot about her niche line of work over the years, including how married men who visit brothels often go on to be caught out by the wives.

One key giveaway? Unusual late night ATM withdrawals that just so happen to be located nearby brothel's like the one Catherine manages.

Now Catherine has chatted to UNILAD further about her job and revealed the 'truth' about the type of people who frequent brothels.

She said that they get hundreds of clients a day at the brothel (anywhere between 200 to 700) and that there isn't a specific 'type' of guy that goes in.

"A lot of people think brothel clients are creepy weirdos, but that couldn’t be further from the truth," Catherine told us, adding: "You probably know several of them in real life — they’re your friends, colleagues, old classmates, doctors, or even your kid’s teachers. They just don’t talk about it because it is still so heavily stigmatized."

Catherine further shared that she's seen people between the ages of 18 and 80 visit the brothel she's managed for nine years, all of whom have different types of careers.

"Some are doctors or lawyers, others are blue-collar workers, teachers, bus drivers, civil servants," she said.

Her brothel caters to people with disabilities too and they have a 'regular' man who is a quadriplegic in a wheelchair.

"His parents bring him in, help him onto the bed, and wait for him in the lounge with tea," Catherine said of this particular client.

And people, men in particular, come in for a host of different personal reasons.

She shared: "We’ve had virgins wanting to have their 'first time' in a safe environment with a professional.

"Some men are extremely successful in their careers but don’t have the time or energy for dating or relationships. For them, a brothel is the most practical and cost-effective option.

"Others just like the atmosphere. Some are curious and want to try it once. And then there are the stag parties — places like this are very popular for that."

In regards to married clients, apparently most of them don't do much to try and hide it.

"Honestly, most of them aren’t trying to hide it," said Catherine. "They’ll walk in wearing their wedding ring or flat-out tell the sex workers they’re married."
