Nick Cannon has admitted that none of his 12 children's mothers receive a 'monthly allowance' from him.

He was asked the sensitive question by Home Morning Show radio presenters Shorty Da Prince, Brittish Williams and Andrew Caldwell.

They quizzed the 42-year-old TV presenter about how much money he has paid in child support after having 12 children with different women.

Aside from sharing 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with Mariah Carey, he is also dad to Rise, six months old, Powerful Queen, two and Golden, six, with Brittany Bell.

The list continues with Beautiful, four months, and Zion and Zillion, both one, with Abby De La Rosa.

He is also father to Halo, three months old, and the late Zen (who tragically died in December 2021) with Alyssa Scott and also Legendary Love, eight months, with Bre Tiesi and Onyx, six months, with LaNisha Cole.

He joked with the radio show presenters when they asked about his parental financial responsibilities, saying: "I'm not on the government."

Which prompted a co-host to retort: "That's how you know he really got it together!"

Nick responded that, while none of the mums receive monthly pay cheques to help look after his offspring, they instead receive anything they ask for.

He joked he has been nicknamed 'the provider' by the children's mother.

“But to your point, to answer it in a very serious way, it ain't even about a monthly allowance or amount of money, because I don't give myself that," he said.

"What they need, they get. There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive."

Nick spoke about the respect he has for the six mother of his children, saying: “Everybody has their challenges - but when you really understand this woman has given the greatest sacrifice, and sacrificed her body to bring a child into this world, that’s the best gift any man could ask for.

“Regardless of what goes on in any scenario, I’m gonna always show love and respect. I’ll never say anything disrespectful or bad about any of the mothers of my children."

The enthusiastic father recently confessed his regret at not fathering a child with his ex, singer and actor Christina Milian.

He spoke about how, despite discussing the idea of children during their time together, they were 'kids in love, early on'.

The 42-year-old dad of 12 also admitted that he might not be done yet with fathering children, saying he would never say never to having more.

On that note, Nick will also take part in what is being called 'the mother of all game shows' this spring.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Cannon will pick from a collection of hopeful women who will be vying to be the mother of the next of his brood in Who's Having My Baby?, which will be hosted by Kevin Hart.
