Travis Kelce’s dad forgot extremely important detail when meeting Taylor Swift for the first time

Travis Kelce's dad has opened up about the first time he met Taylor Swift and hilariously forgetting a pretty important detail.

With Taylor Swift having produced 128 tons of CO2 emissions in just three months to see her 'soulmate' NFL star Travis Kelce, it's only right they've also taken the next step fully introduced one another to their families.

However, despite Swift being one of the biggest pop stars in the world, there was one detail about the singer Kelce's dad, Ed Kelce, happened to forget when he met her.

At the end of last year, Travis revealed he and Taylor actually first met when she was performing at his home stadium in Arrowhead in Kansas City.

He explained to WSJ Magazine in November: "When she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures... in front of my locker."

Taylor later texted the Kansas City Chiefs player, they ended up meeting up and over 12,000 gallons of jet fuel later, they're an item.

Taylor has previously been spotted supporting her beau at games alongside his mom, Donna Kelce. However, Travis' dad has since opened up about the first time he met his son's partner.

Speaking on radio station Audacy’s 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, Ed explained when his son has 'a lot of friends coming into town to the game' he gets them all to meet at his house even though he's 'not there'.

And it was before one of Travis' Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri that Ed met Taylor for the first time.

Ed explains the pop star walked in with 'a security guy' - a pretty obvious sign as to who she is.

However, the dad continues: "I look at her, and I say [to my girlfriend], 'Oh my god, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is'. Jeez, you know, like a real idiot."

Thankfully, Ed's girlfriend reminded him of his son's girlfriend's name, and so by the time Taylor walked over, the pop star was none the wiser.

And Ed's given his stamp of approval to Taylor too, noting he doesn't think 'that Taylor is out there trying to make money, trying to build this huge empire'.

He resolves: "I think she’s out there following her passion, doing what she knows and what she enjoys."
