Timothée Chalamet nervously recalled how he was threatened while on the set of his A24 flick Marty Supreme.
Chalamet is well and truly on a hot streak, with his latest film Marty Supreme getting heaps of praise across the industry.
The ping pong drama, which is loosely inspired by the table tennis pro Marty Reisman, sees Chalamet taking on a starring role alongside Kevin O'Leary as Milton Rockwell, an entrepreneur who is married to Kay Stone (played by Gwyneth Paltrow).
But things weren’t perfectly kosher behind the scenes, according to the actor.

Chalamet took part in a Q&A with actor Robert Downey Jr on Wednesday (January 14) at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, where he spilled all about what went down.
Shockingly, he remarked that he was threatened by another cast member after he was intentionally trying to get him frustrated to bring out a better performance from his co-star.

Recalling the story, Chalamet said: “I won't say who, but in that motel sequence, there are a lot of non-actors…that I find it really thrilling to work with, but sometimes it would take multiple takes to really get something out of them."

He continued: “And I'm really getting in the guy's face, and I'm really trying to get him angry with me. I was saying to Josh [Safdie, the movie’s director], he’s not getting angry with me, he's not getting angry with me.”
But the background actor seemed to take offence to Chalamet’s antics and turned the tables on him.

Chalamet explained: “I did another take, and then the guy said, ‘I was just in jail for 30 years. You really don't want to f**k with me. You don't want to see me angry'."

Chalamet concluded with a nervous laugh and said he questioned the director about who the cast member was, saying: “I said to Josh, Holy s**t, who do you have me opposite, man?”
The actor has already bagged two awards for his leading role in the film, and some fans are expecting him to also take home an Oscar later this year.
So far, he has been awarded a Golden Globe after winning Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy as well a Critics Choice Award for Best Actor.
