NSYNC reunites for the first time in years at the MTV VMAs and Taylor Swift loses her mind

Taylor is all of us.

*NSYNC has reunited for the first time in years at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) and Taylor Swift lost her mind.

The boyband, who haven't released music together since 2002, reunited to present the Best Pop award at the ceremony tonight in New Jersey.

Made up of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass, it’s *NYSNC’s first reunion in 10 years.

And Swift was all of us as she reacted to them taking to the stage.

The ‘Anti-Hero’ was up from her seat, screaming and cheering for the band.

She seemed even more excited about that than actually winning the award, which is pretty relatable – I mean, it’s literally *NSYNC.

The band also gave her a friendship bracelet – a nod to the tradition that’s fulfilled by fans during her Eras Tour shows.

Taylor couldn't cope.

And Swift admitted to being unable to contain her excitement as she collected the VMAs' Best Pop award (her first win of the night with a whopping eight nominations).

Wondering just what had prompted *NYSNC’s reunion she said: “Are you doing something? What’s going to happen now?”

The ‘Bad Blood’ singer just couldn’t cope as she said to the crowd of music fans and celebrities: “They’re doing something and I need to know what it is.”

Like many '90s babies, Swift also admitted to having their 'dolls'.

And she might be right, there’s rumors the band is in fact doing something.

Word on the street is *NYSNC has new music that is set to come out soon.

Timberlake is of course the voice of Branch in the Trolls movies, and there’s speculation his old boyband will have something in the upcoming Trolls Band Together movie.

If it’s true, it’ll be their first release in over two decades.

Reacting on X, fans wrote: “Taylor fangirling over NSYNC she’s so real for this.”

Another put: “Taylor Swift is so me.”

And one said: “My little 13yr old @NSYNC heart was screaming!!!! Give me my Nsync Reunion!! The music industry missed you.”

And scooping up her second award for Song of the Year for ‘Anti-Hero’, she said she’s ‘millennial triggered’ by the choice of presenters tonight.
