NFL fans were left puzzled after seeing photos of Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey meeting at the Super Bowl.
Yesterday (11 February), the Kansas City Chiefs bagged a 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers to claim their fourth Super Bowl title.
And while it looked as if the 49ers had it in the bag early on, the Chiefs successfully managed to defend their title and retain the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Interestingly, Sunday’s game was the second time in history that a championship match had gone to overtime - the first being at the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons’ clash at Super Bowl LI.
As well as performing on the field, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was seen belting out a rousing rendition of ‘Viva Las Vegas’ during the trophy hoist and was spotted celebrating with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The 'Bad Blood' singer had flown from the Japanese leg of her Eras Tour to support the 34-year-old sportsman at Sin City’s Allegiant Stadium.
Swift, also 34, watched the entirety of the match from a lavish VIP suite, which she shared with friends Blake Lively, Ice Spice and stylist Ashley Avignone.
However, fans were left confused when the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker was spotted grasping the hand of 38-year-old Lana Del Rey over the side of her suite.
It appeared that Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, was sitting in a lower tier and fans speculated on why she wasn’t alongside Swift in the luxury VIP guest area.
Many hypothesised that the star may not want to sit with her friend - whom she name-dropped on stage at the Grammy Awards last week - because she was a die-hard 49ers fan.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one NFL viewer wrote: “Let Lana into your suite, Taylor!”
A second joked: "JUST IN: Taylor Swift uses her strength to lift Lana Del Rey into her $2 million Super Bowl Suite after Lana was denied entry at the door”
Another professed: “'Watch people say that Taylor is being mean to Lana not letting her up in the suite with her.”
However, the speculation regarding the 'Born to Die' singer’s place in Swift’s entourage was soon put to bed as she was later seen celebrating in the box.
After footage of Del Rey making it to the VIP area was shown, one X user wrote: “If you would have told 14 year me that I would see Lana del Rey on national TV in a box at the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift I would have told you ‘no she’s so alternative.’ (I screamed)”
A second commented: “NOOOOO LANA DEL REY IS IN THE BOX WITH TAYLOR SWIFT.”
