A semi-streaker took to the pitch at the Super Bowl LX to give a shout out before being tackled by New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams, and fans couldn't help but notice something was written on his body.

Yesterday (8 February), the Super Bowl LX kicked off at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which saw the New England Patriots go head-to-head with the Seattle Hawks.

Bad Bunny's halftime show also unexpectedly went up against Turning Point USA's alternate halftime show starring Kid Rock, although, there was little competition there according to most social media users given Rock's 'embarrassing' display.

Add in some controversial commercials, and the 2026 Super Bowl was a pretty monumental event. However, would it even be a Super Bowl should a streaker not take to the pitch?

One man took it upon himself to do the honors, taking to the pitch during the fourth quarter wearing nothing but three words written on his back alongside a reference to a social media handle - and thankfully, some trousers.

While the moment was erased from footage covered by NBC, MassLive reporter Mark Daniels managed to capture the moment and shared the clip online.

It shows the moment a man runs out onto the pitch wearing trousers, shoes, but no top.

He is swiftly followed by members of security as he raises his arms out to the side in victory.

Even New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams gets involved, running after him, with one X user noting: "Best offensive play of the night for us."

Williams manages to reach out to the streaker and gives him what appears to be a small tap.

Apparently that's all that was needed - or perhaps the streaker was simply slipping already - and down he goes, apprehended within moments. But why did the streaker decide to take the risk and run out onto the pitch? (Not that streakers really need to have much of a reason all time).

Well, this streaker had written on his back: "Trade with Athena" Alongside the social media handle: "@fxalexg."

The streaker - or as a social media user quite rightly pointed out, half-streaker - has since been identified as Alex Gonzalez who identifies himself online as a trader.

And it wasn't his first rodeo streaking at the NFL Super Bowl either.

In 2024, Gonzalez similarly took to the pitch during the Super Bowl, again, to plug his Instagram account.

The Mirror reports he was charged with a misdemeanour offence as a result, but clearly the pros outweighed the cons in his mind for him to do it yet again.

He reportedly said in a social media post at the time: "One of my goals has always been to streak the Super Bowl. I did it now, and I'll do it again."
