Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny has left some fans baffled as an unusual requirement his Super Bowl halftime show was revealed.

Last year, it was announced that Bad Bunny will be hosting the Super Bowl halftime show, and it obviously got his fans excited about the performance that is yet to come.

The 31-year-old, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez, will be the first solo male Latin artist to perform in the slot on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

But this excitement has been dampened most recently as people learnt his show would have a somewhat bizarre restriction.

Shows at the Super Bowl can get quite extravagant, but some that were hoping to be part of the spectacle may be slightly disappointed.

Bad Bunny’s performance is set to include a large backing cast who will take to the field alongside the performers, according to an advert that was shared on Reddit last week.

While some fans were over the moon at the possibility of being part of the show, they learned that they simply weren't eligible due to physical requirements for those taking part.

According to the advert, the role is ‘not a dancing role’ and ‘field Cast will be performing structured movements and blocking as part of a larger production'.

But to be a part of it, the field cast members must be between 'between 5’7' and 6’0' with a 'slender to athletic build' and have the 'ability to wear and move in costumes weighing up to 40 pounds'.

People who didn’t quite meet the requirements let their voices be heard on social media.

One Reddit user said: “5’7 minimum, slender athletic build. I am so over pretending this is the aesthetic that we should strive for and I’m side eyeing the f**k out of them for this s**t. They can’t see it though, because they are apparently looking over my head."

Another wrote: “Cries in elf! Why didn’t I get some of my dad’s height.”

Another fan added: " Not me romanticizing being in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show just to be 5’3.”

With another simply writing: “Cries in too short.”

Backlit Support, who are hiring for the production positions, have since closed the job listing but added a new ad with updated requirements.

The job listing reads: “We are re-opening applications for the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Field Cast. While the core responsibilities of the role remain the same, we are specifically seeking additional applicants within the height range of 5’ 10” to 6’ 1” to meet updated production requirements.”

So good luck to anyone who fits the requirement and fancies getting on the field with Bad Bunny.
