Sydney Sweeney has revealed a stunning new look at the Met Gala, but fans are divided on one thing.
Celebs are beginning to pour into the hotly anticipated Met Gala in New York today as fashion's biggest night of the year is back.
As usual, dozens of Hollywood's greats are anticipated to show off their fits, this time to the political and aesthetic constructs of 'Black dandyism' to align with the Costume Institute's 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' exhibition from May 10 to October 26.

Now, Sydney Sweeney has stepped out in a stunning all-black attire and a rather new look, though some fans aren't so convinced by the overall ensemble.

Taking to Twitter, dozens said the 27-year-old's glittery black and beaded dress that trailed behind her on the steps, along with a new hair style, was 'beautiful',
One swooning fan wrote: "SYDNEY SWEENY THE DIVA YOU ARE MY GOD," as another simply said: "SHES EATING OMG."

"The way she said 'dont forget to serve face when u walk out' is sending meeeee," a third chimed, referring to someone off-camera reminding the star to stay posed as she walked inside.
Yet many more appeared to take issue with some aspects of her overall aesthetic as they pointed out one glaring thing.
"GORGEOUS but off theme," said one.
As many pointed out, the theme has been picked to examine the 'importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora,' as per Vogue, and comes as the first exhibition since 2003's 'Men in Skirts' that focuses on menswear.

The show is also inspired by co-curator Monica Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
"Weren’t we supposed to be wearing suits?" said another after seeing Sweeney's outfit.
"I wish she followed the theme but I know no one ever follows his name," wrote another.

Others also took aim at Sweeney's styling, saying they weren't keen on her newly debuted hair and make-up.
"I love Sydney Sweeney but this is too safe. I feel like her stylist let her down. She could have pushed the envelope even further," penned one fan.
"The dress of a glittered bat she could only pull off," another joked, as another added: "The hair is a no from me, dog."
Still, Sweeney's look has certainly turned heads already and won't be the only one to cause a stir as dozens of Hollywood's VIPs pile into the gala.
