Following another bold televised interview with Donald Trump, Stephen King had quite a stern word for a celebrity who defended the president for his controversial conduct.
Donald Trump returned to 60 Minutes over the weekend and spoke with interviewer Norah O’Donnell about many topics, including crime and the upcoming New York City mayoral election.
While the president raised eyebrows by stating he was 'much better looking' than NYC Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, some of Trump's supporters took issue with O’Donnell’s interviewing style.
Actor James Woods was one of those, who voiced his frustrations in a post on social media after the show had concluded.

Woods is no stranger to controversy, with him often using social media to express his right-wing political views, as well as making offensive and provocative remarks - including calling out a family for posing with their 'gender creative' son at a Pride event in 2017.

Reacting to Trump's latest interview this week, the Casino actor wrote on X: “I remember when 60 Minutes was a news entity before they became a debating society.
"Literally in the first five minutes of this interview with the President of the United States, she interrupted him repeatedly every single time he started to answer. I turned it off.”

However, horror legend Stephen King, who has often been a vocal critic of Trump and his supporters, took issue with Woods’ comments and hit back at him in a follow up post.
King wrote: “Nobody interrupts like foaming-at-the-mouth right wing zealots. Like you, James. Like you.”
People on social media seemed divided following King’s comments, with some arguing that he was perfectly correct in describing Trump’s supporters, while others claimed that the author was projecting.
UNILAD has contacted James Woods' representatives for comment.

King had recently taken a shot at Trump following an invigorated debate around free speech after late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was briefly suspended for criticizing Trump over his reaction when asked about the death of right-wing commentator, Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was shot dead on September 10 while hosting a debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Just days later, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was arrested and charged with seven offences, including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.
When asked by reporters at the time about freedom of speech, Trump claimed he was 'a very strong person for free speech', but went on to complain about his depiction in the media.

He said: “When you have that kind of that level of popularity or voter support, as I did in the last election.
"And yet, 97 and 94 ... percent of people are against me in the sense of the ... newscasts are against me ... they'll take a great story and they'll make it bad."
King took to X to brutally hit back at Trump, saying: "Mr. Trump himself has repeatedly made clear in recent days that he has a different goal.
"For him, it’s not about hate speech, but about speech that he hates — namely, speech that is critical of him and his administration."
