Rihanna found herself being struck by a hotel door, which her bodyguard seemingly failed to protect her from, leading to the singer giving a savage response.
The 'California King Bed' singer was in New York as her partner and father of her three children, A$AP Rocky, prepares for his Saturday Night Live debut after releasing his fourth album, Don't Be Dumb.
The couple have also been spotted around the city in style, out and about for a date night and his album launch party on January 16 (via Vogue).
Recently, she was snapped leaving the Four Seasons hotel with just her bodyguards, but as Rihanna approached the door, it wasn't held open until she cleared the entryway; it swung back and hit her mid-step.

The moment was caught on camera and promptly posted to X and other social media platforms, including TikTok.

In the video shared on X, the 37-year-old can be seen cracking a slight smile as she jokes to one of her bodyguards: "Such a gentlemen you are."
And her response created quite the divide in the comments: while some agreed that the bodyguard should make sure his boss has doors opened for her, even from a safety standpoint, others didn’t think so.

"He is her bodyguard, not boyfriend - she should get the difference," one user wrote, as another commented: "He should've just reached back without thinking.. i need a man who knows how to do the simple things without being asked to."
Meanwhile, someone else had a different theory, speculating that it was caused by a second person letting go of the door.
They wrote: "If you peep it’s actually the other dude who’s supposed to be holding the door. He let it go when he saw the bodyguard walk out (who was clearing a path) and didn’t recover in time."
However, many pointed out that she was just having a bit of fun, as one person said: "Such a good humor from Rih," and a second agreed: "She has a good sense of humour!"

This comes weeks after a viral 'bad' post of the Fenty Beauty mogul was shared on the popular meme Instagram account fembase, which featured a 2011 photo of Rihanna performing at V Festival.

The photo was already a viral moment at the time, as it showed a scar on her chin that people didn’t know about.
But Rihanna was left dumbfounded because the picture was used to promote a post titled: "Women don't realize how much their boyfriends love 'bad' photos of them."

It went on to explain: "Research and anecdotal evidence suggest that many men are drawn to candid or 'imperfect' photos of their girlfriends. These images can feel more authentic and intimate than highly polished shots.
“The appeal comes from emotional connection rather than aesthetics — seeing natural expressions or unfiltered moments often strengthens feelings of closeness and affection.
"For some couples, sharing casual or spontaneous photos can actually deepen trust and connection, highlighting the value of authenticity over perfection."
Rihanna then hilariously commented: “How I catch this stray tho?"
