Paris Hilton has been slammed after taking a vacation in Maui as the wildfires leave the island devastated.

Some of us just can’t leave behind our lavish lives; the yachts, the suites, the getaways in places suffering tragedy. You know, just relatable things.

And it seems that nothing can stop Paris Hilton.

The ‘Stars Are Blind’ singer has reportedly been taking a vacation in Maui, Hawaii, where blazing wildfires are tearing down the nearby town of Lahaina.

At least 99 people have so far died after wildfires devastated the historic town, destroying homes and businesses with very few buildings left standing.

Hawaii Governor Josh Green recently told CBS that the death toll may increase by 10 to 20 people per day as officials continue searching for survivors and victims.

The wildfires in Maui are now the deadliest in US modern history.

However, Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, seem to be enjoying time on the island with their eight-month-old son, Phoenix.

Recent images show the socialite carrying her baby around an exclusive resort in Wailea – which is roughly just 30 miles from Lahaina.

The couple took to the beach where the Hilton Hotels founder’s great-grandaughter strolled along the beach with Phoenix, carrying an inflatable ring.

Hilton also donned a khaki cap as Reum went topless with a pair of pink swim shorts.

The images show the family seemingly having a wholesome time on their vacation, as users wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Paris Hilton heard about the Maui wildfire devastation and said ‘That’s hot,’” referencing her iconic 00’s catchphrase.

Others called her ‘tone deaf’ and even said: “This gives entitled people an even worse reputation… did not think that was possible.”

One wrote: “Paris Hilton is vacationing in Maui at a resort 30 min from Lahaina. Imagine watching thousands of ppl lose their homes, loved ones, families etc and then expecting them to SERVE YOU DRINKS WHILE YOU FROLIC ON THE BEACH INFRONT OF THEM OMG.”

And another added: “Disgusting. They’ve asked all tourists to leave the island.”

Hilton has reportedly been helping and dropping off supplies at the shelters, and while she hasn’t spoken about her vacation, has been posting links to fundraising pages on her Instagram.

Last week, the Hawaii Tourism Authority plead for tourists to vacate the area, writing: “Visitors who are on non-essential travel are being asked to leave Maui, and non-essential travel to Maui is strongly discouraged at this time.

“In the days and weeks ahead, our collective resources and attention must be focused on the recovery of residents and communities that were forced to evacuate their homes and businesses.”

If you would like to donate to the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund, which is supporting communities affected by the wildfires, click here for more information.

You can also donate to the American Red Cross, which helps provide food, medical supplies, shelter and water to those impacted.
