Pamela Anderson has addressed the fact that Meghan Markle's TV show was undeniably similar to hers.

Earlier this year, Anderson released her Prime Video series Pamela's Cooking with Love. It landed on the streaming platform in late February and was well received by viewers.

Made up of eight episodes, the first season of the TV show boasts 8.6/10 on IMDb.

One reviewer gushed about the show: "Pamela comes across as a sweet, gentle, authentic and down to earth lady. She's funny, natural and kind. I love that her sons, parents and friends are in the show."

Dozens of others have echoed similar sentiments. While it received rave reviews, it's unclear if Anderson will be back for a second season.

Shortly after Pamela's Cooking With Love debuted, Meghan Markle's Netflix series With Love, Meghan was released. It landed on the platform March 4.

The synopsis given via Tudum read: "Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection, and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same."

In comparison to Anderson's undeniably similar series, With Love, Meghan didn't receive as much critical acclaim and scores just 3.1/10 on IMDb. Ouch.

Viewership also wasn't great, and the Duchess of Sussex's series failed to make it into Netflix's top 300 shows for the first half of this year, The Telegraph reported.

Several months on from the two programmes being released, Anderson has been grilled by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

"On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar," Cohen asked the Baywatch alum.

Anderson replied with 'one', meaning she didn't think there were many similarities.

Pressing further, Cohen said: "One? On a scale from one to 10, you did not see any similarities?"

Anderson went on to explain further: "No, I didn't really look, but I didn't invent cooking shows. She's just doing her thing."

While Anderson might not think they were the same, TV fans sure did.

Someone tweeted around the time they were both released: "If you watch the trailer for Pamela’s new show, it’s a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve & it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it’s freaky."

"Meghan Markle also plagiarized Pamela Anderson's show? The entire concept is strikingly similar," noted another.

A third said: "Meghan totally ripped off Pamela’s show, as well as every other successful cooking/lifestyle show she had ever seen. She did it poorly, too."
