Christina Fulton, Nicolas Cage's former partner, has broken her silence after suing him over the abuse she claims she suffered at the hands of their son, Weston Coppola Cage.
Fulton, 57, and Cage, 61, parted ways shortly after Weston was born in 1990, and recent allegations surrounding the relationship has come to light.
Weston would have been 33-years-old when the assault his mom claims happened, with it allegedly taking place last year on April 28.
Court documents state that Fulton is claiming that Cage was was aware of their son 'desperately' needing help and that he failed to stop his behaviour from escalating.

Fulton went on to claim the pair would enjoy a drink together, which aided their son's 'substance abuse history', while Cage is said to have bailed his son out of jail numerous times.
"Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals," the filing read.
"Nicolas has been aware of Weston's history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others."
Court documents states that Fulton sustained injuries from her son's alleged attack, including a concussion, multiple bruises, a 'disfiguring eye injury', dental trauma, as well as PTSD and other psychological damages.
The lawsuit added: "Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others, including Plaintiff, based on his documented history of violent assaults, substance abuse, and mental instability."
Fulton spoke to TMZ after news of the lawsuit came to light, with reporters catching a word with her before she entered her Los Angeles home.
Fulton admitted she's been 'heartbroken for a very long time' before adding: "I have done this alone, I have been left alone — if not blocked."
The actor went on to accuse Cage of preventing her from addressing Weston's problems.
A spokesperson for the actor previously told LADbible Group: “The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous. Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston's behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston's alleged assault of his mother."
