Miley Cyrus held a fan event over the weekend but has now faced furious backlash for her alleged behavior while interacting with her fans.
On Saturday (June 21), Miley Cyrus paired up for a fan signing event at Rough Trade in London for the release of Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved, a song from her latest film album, Something Beautiful.
This would have been a dream come true to many Cyrus fans but it seems some believe they got the short end of the stick.

Cyrus was joined by supermodel Naomi Campbell, who featured on the track, and the pair sat at a table while fans came up to them, said a brief word, posed for a picture and had the vinyl copies signed.
But a video that has begun circulating on social media has people up in arms and condemning the pair, especially Cyrus, for their behavior.

In the footage, Cyrus and Campbell appear to be outright ignoring some fans as they come up to the table, having their own conversation and not interacting with the fans.

This proved to be particularly frustrating for some social media viewers as the fans only get a few seconds with the celebrities before being ushered away.
One fan wrote on Reddit about the in: “Is Miley aware that she doesn’t have to do these events? That’s mean what she did to that fan.”
Another commented: “This is a signing, for fans! You are literally ignoring the fan to talk to your "co-star". These people paid to get to see you, the least you do is: make eye contact, listen to them shower you in compliments, sign some sh*t, and take a photo.”
With a third annoyed fan adding: “I fully understand her childhood was stressful, and she’s tired of fame, but then just don’t do events like this. At her level of celebrity especially, your publicists can’t make you!”
Another another joked: "Here's a picture of my idol actively ignoring me <3.”

With another simply writing: “And at that moment they finally realized what the phrase "never meet your heroes" meant...”
While many remarked at how annoyed they were with Cyrus, others came to the singer’s defense and argued that it was not fair to say she had been ignoring all of her fans.
Some also pointed out that the video that has begun doing the rounds on social media has been edited to showcase these moments as if they happened after one another, rather than spread out through the event.
UNILAD has contacted Miley Cyrus’ representatives for comment.
