It seems Simone Biles has confused some fans with her Met Gala attire at this year's prestigious event.
The American artistic gymnast has turned heads with a rather unusual look for the Met Gala today.
It's fashion's biggest night of the year where some of Hollywood's VIPs are already strutting the red carpet in all their glamour and glitz, all to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan, New York.

This year, dozens of famous faces are showcasing their fits to the political and aesthetic constructs of 'Black dandyism' to align with the Costume Institute's 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' exhibition from May 10 to October 26.
The theme has been picked to examine the 'importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora,' according to Vogue, and is the first exhibition since 2003's 'Men in Skirts' that focuses on menswear.

Biles, accompanied by her husband and NFL star Jonathan Owens, turned heads with her short blue dress ensemble that was paired with a tiny blue purse and blue heels while the dress has a long trail and studded collar.

Yet dozens have taken to social media, apparently baffled by the 28-year-old's look this year.
Her critics apparently aren't too keen on the dress itself, as one said on Twitter: "Are her bottoms or the rest of the dress missing? its cute but lacking something."
"Who is dressing her, someone who doesn't like her," another said a little harshly.

However, they weren't the only ones to disapprove.
"Girl what is that," another disgruntled fan wrote, while another declared: "I don't like her dress!!"
"Stick to gymnastics girl coz ILY BUT WHAT IS THIS," another fan waded in on the debate.
Despite the intense criticism, plenty more have said they loved the hot-take on this year's theme as Biles clearly wore a tailored outfit but went out of the box with blue, as opposed to the many black outfits that we've seen so far.

"MOTHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I LOVE HER," said one.
"GAG SHES SERVING," another fan added.
A third went so far as to say Biles and her outfit presents 'one of the best in style.'

Biles isn't the only one to cause a stir on the red carpet either, as fans were also divided by Sydney Sweeney's apparently 'safe' outfit.
