Fans of Meghan Trainor have rushed to the the singer's defence after she introduced her third child to the world.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday (January 21) to reveal that her and husband Daryl Sabara's daughter, named Mikey Moon, was born on January 18 via a surrogate, with her giving 'thanks to our incredible, superwoman'.
"We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible," Trainor penned in the emotional post, before stating that they had 'endless conversations with our doctors' and this was 'the safest way' for them to be able to 'continue growing' their family.
"We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name," the singer added.

"We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all."
The post included a series of photos of the newborn, including one which featured Trainor cradling Mikey, enjoying some skin-to-skin contact, and her two young sons meeting their baby sister.

While the photos were undoubtedly adorable, Trainor was met with some unexpected criticism in the aftermath of the social media post.
One person penned on X: "These skin-to-skin pictures are so performative and fake. If you didn’t birth a baby, it’s not your baby. I’m sorry, but you can’t convince me otherwise."
It seems that people have pretty passionate responses to surrogacy, particularly involving celebrities and those with wealth.
"There is just something so f**ked up about rich people (because it really is only available to them) being able to rent the bodies of middle to lower class people," another quipped.
Well, many have since come to Trainor's defense, as another social media user penned: "What a gross thing to say. Babies benefit from skin to skin regardless of who birthed them.
"Focus less on being so hateful towards others."
Meanwhile, another added: "You can be a hater because they didn’t do it the hard way, lots of haters in the world, but like that literally is her baby."
And another fan defended the 'All About That Bass' hitmaker, as they explained: "Skin to skin contact, most hospitals have the husbands do it too now.
"It’s regulating for the baby, helps them with their breathing and heart rate and it makes oxytocin in your body to bond you to the baby.
"When you do it, it makes it feel like your heart is trying to pull out of your chest, it’s very intense."
While the bizarre criticism is certainly a thing, it's good to see many of Trainor's fans are rushing to defend her.
