Fans praise Matt LeBlanc for having Matthew Perry's back during interview

Matthew Perry joked he 'looked like a crazy person'

Nearly 20 years after Friends ended, it's clear that the cast have a close bond.

The well-loved show was on air for a decade, and is still found being shown in many households until this day.

So, with this in mind, Matthew Perry's untimely passing has left millions of people heartbroken.

It was reported in the early hours of this morning (October 29) the 54-year-old had been found dead in a hot tub by police at a home in Los Angeles.

A cause of death is yet to be confirmed, with the results of an initial post-mortem coming back 'inconclusive' pending further investigation.

There has also been no sign of foul play, according to police sources.

Tributes have come pouring in for Perry in the wake of the devastating news, with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Adele, Gwyneth Paltrow and his Friends co-stars sharing heartfelt words about how much Perry meant to them.

And one interview that's been doing the rounds is one of Perry being spoken to alongside his co-stars Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer in anticipation for the Friends reunion in 2021.

The trio were being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight and as Schwimmer was chatting to the reporter, Perry didn't realise that he was still in the shot.

He began waving to people off the camera to quieten down - but Le Blanc had his back.

Gently nudging him, the former Top Gear host explained: "Matty, that's the girls doing an interview."

"You're on camera," he politely added.

Embarrassed, Perry went on to ask the reporter: "Are you in a three-shot seeing me do that?"

Laughing, the late 54-year-old then went on to joke that he 'looked like a crazy person'.

In the wake of Perry's death, Friends fans have gushed about the cast's bond - particularly praising Le Blanc for 'always looking out' for him.

He said: "The best way that I can describe it is after the show was over, at a party or any kind of social gathering, if one of us bumped into each other, that was it.

"That was the end of the night. You just sat with the person all night long and that was it.

"You apologized to the people you were with, but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night.

"And that’s the way it worked."
