Leonardo DiCaprio has left viewers of the Golden Globes perplexed after mouthing something at someone across the room in a moment a body language expert said 'shows a different side of him'.
The Titanic star had been attending the awards, where he was nominated for best actor in a musical or comedy for his role in One Battle After Another.
In the end, DiCaprio lost out in the category to Timothèe Chalamet for Marty Supreme, but one clip shows that he still seemed to thoroughly enjoying himself through the evening.
One video segment from the evening showed the Wolf of Wall Street star smiling and laughing, before mouthing something over at someone else at the party.

The clip prompted plenty of people to all say the same thing, due to its similarity to a viral meme of DiCaprio in Django Unchained.

This was that he had singlehandedly 'created a hundred memes in 30 sec', according to one commenter, which one look at the clip seemingly confirms.
But others were left wondering what exactly Leo was saying as he mouthed at somebody across the room.

One part seems to be the shape for 'K Pop', suggesting he may have been referring to K Pop Demon Hunters, which came away with the best animated film award.
The star made a lot of flamboyant hand gestures around as he signalled across the room during an ad break.
One person made a suggestion about what DiCaprio might have been saying as he signalled and gesticulated, which was: “I was watching you with the K pop thing, you were like, who’s that, is that, Oh, K pop.”

Deadline speculated he could have been talking to his One Battle co-star and on-screen daughter Chase Infiniti, who is known to be a K pop fan.
Of course, we can't know for sure that this is what he said without the audio.
But others have also made an interpretation of DiCaprio's fun moment.

Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Covers, said: "The viral clip featuring Leo is quite telling. While we know he has a good sense of humour, he appears to be mimicking someone or trying to make others laugh by behaving in an exaggerated manner.
"We often see Leo being quite serious and professional, so this definitely shows a different side of him.
"The clip proves that he’s relaxed, willing to joke around, and not take himself too seriously, even though he’s aware the camera is recording."
In the film categories, One Battle After Another came away with best comedy or musical film, as well as best director and best screenplay.
