Bill Maher made it clear how he felt about his fellow celebrities wearing a tribute pin to Renee Good at the Golden Globes on Sunday (January 11).
The Golden Globes were a great evening for Hollywood's biggest stars, with a lucky few going home with a new award to add to their collection.
As well as this, many fans were delighted to see their favorite actors looking glamorous on the red carpet ahead of the awards ceremony.
Some eagle-eyed viewers noticed something peculiar attached to some celebs’ clothing, however.

They wore pins which read ‘ICE Out’ and ‘Be Good’ in honor of Renee Nicole Good, who was shot and killed by ICE officers in Minneapolis last week.
The death of the 37-year-old mother has sparked outrage across the US, with some arguing the agent needlessly shot her.

However, some people, including Donald Trump, have tried to justify the shooting, arguing that Good allegedly attempted to run over agents as she tried to flee the scene.

The Department for Homeland Security has claimed that the agent's shots were 'defensive' and that Good was carrying out an act of 'domestic terrorism' when she drove her vehicle.
Attending the Golden Globes, Bill Maher spoke to a USA Today reporter and gave his opinion on the matter when asked whether he felt it was an 'effective form of activism'.
While laughing, he replied: “Come on, We’re just here for show business today.”
He did note that he thought the shooting was a 'terrible thing' but appeared apprehensive about how successful this form of activism would be.

The TV host continued: “You know, it was a terrible thing that happened and it shouldn't have happened, and if they didn't act like such thugs it wouldn't have had to happen.
“But I don't need to wear a pin about it.”
Some of the celebrities who were spotted with the pins included Ariana Grande, Mark Ruffalo, Wanda Sykes, Natasha Lyonne and Jean Smart.

Sykes, who joked that she'd 'love' for Maher to give 'a little less' while presenting an award, spoke to Variety about her decision to wear the pin during the evening.
She said: “[I wore it] for the mother who was murdered by an ICE agent.
“I know people were out marching and all today. And we need to speak up.
“We need to be out there and shut this rogue government down. Because it's just awful what they're doing to people.”

The pins have been endorsed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) non-profit and it was reportedly organized by a group of entertainment industry professionals.
