Justin Timberlake has turned off comments on Instagram in the wake of Britney Spears' memoir

Britney fans have been flooding his posts with angry messages after her book detailed their breakup.

Justin Timberlake has turned off his Instagram comments following the release of Britney Spears' memoir.

Ever since excerpts from The Woman Inside Me started to be released, the ‘Suit and Tie’ singer started getting swift backlash on his social media accounts.

Spears, who dated Timberlake from 1999 to 2002, recalled in her memoir how she terminated her pregnancy while they were dating.

"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day,” Spears wrote.

"This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

"But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

The singer also revealed how the former NSYNC bandmate cheated on her with a very ‘famous woman’.

Although she didn’t want to disclose who the celebrity was as ‘she’s married with kids now’ and she doesn’t ‘want her to feel bad.’

Not only that, but her book also disclosed how Justin broke up with her.

Timberlake dumped Spears by text, which left her 'devastated' and she considered quitting showbiz.

The breakup happened while Spears was on the set of the 'Overprotected: The Darkchild Remix' music video in Los Angeles.

But towards the end of the second day of filming, director Chris Applebaum told Page Six that Spears suddenly went missing for 20-40 minutes.

The director headed to Spears' trailer to see the singer sitting on her floor with her legs crossed, crying as her makeup smudged.

Spears then held up her phone to Applebaum, saying: "I can’t believe it. Look. This happened."

She showed him an apparent text from Timberlake that read: 'It’s over!!!'

According to the Daily Telegraph, the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer isn’t ‘too happy’ over Spears’ explosive memoir.

He reportedly told an insider that the book is purely from Spears’ 'point of view’ and is not ‘ok with it’.

“Justin is not at all happy about what has come out in this book,” the source claimed, as per the outlet.

“Doing this book has given Britney life, and she really doesn’t care who is offended by anything in it because it is what happened. She was there and lived through it. No one can say anything. She has got this all out of her and is moving on now.”
