People are confused after seeing what Justin and Hailey Bieber wear to the same event

Justin and Hailey Bieber have sparked a flurry of comments on social media after they attended an event in New York City.

The A-list power couple headed to a function organized by donut legends Krispy Kreme however they looked like they were at very different events.

The two were pictured walking down the street and one looked like they were about to walk the red carpet while the other seemed to be out getting snacks.

Justin was seen wearing grey sweat shorts, a grey jumper and a pink hat on his head over the hoodie.

Whereas his wife Hailey was in a 'red strapless Ermanno Scervino minidress', according to Elle magazine.

She paired the look with a B pendant necklace, a red Ferragamo bag, and Maison Ernest heels.

The images of them going to the event have gone viral on social media as people are confused how they could have stepped out of the house with such different looks.

One person wrote: "I'd be so angry if I was giving the girls my best look of the year and here come my husband."

Another added: "The sad thing is she can’t win. If she dressed in sweats as well, they’d say she’s basic and has no style. She dressed up and now it’s too much Taquita. I yearn for the day she goes on Instagram live and clears the room."

However, some people were defending Justin for wearing whatever he wanted.

A fan commented on Twitter saying: "Very unpopular opinion but i kinda love that he clearly doesn’t want the attention on him. He wants her to stand out for her OWN event while he just shows up to show her love from the sidelines and I honestly love that."

Another defender quipped: "I like how she allows him do him, he's just his true, authentic self with her and I fw that."

They headed to a Krispy Kreme shop in New York City as Hailey is launching a new limited edition of Rhode Beauty's peptide lip treatment in strawberry glaze.

Mrs Bieber told Allure her favorite donuts as a kid were 'strawberry frosted with sprinkles or a strawberry glazed'.

That's why she decided to wear a gorgeous outfit that fit with the theme of the day.
