I'm sure any actor will tell you that filming sex scenes aren't for the faint hearted - and James McAvoy knows all about this.
The veteran actor is no stranger to intimate scenes, with his first-ever being on Shameless.
McAvoy played Steve in the British comedy drama and, by the end of the first episode, his character had already done the deed.

Speaking about his Shameless debut in 2004, the then-up-and-coming actor admitted that doing the racy scene was 'terrifying'.
"I've never done a sex scene before," McAvoy said at the time.
"There were these little triangular pieces to cover our bits. They have to be attached by wardrobe people, and they ask you whether you prefer a man or a woman to do it," he continued to tell The Independent.

Fast forward to 2024 and McAvoy is now an award-winning actor with dozens of successful films under his belt.
The Scotsman is starring in the new thriller Turn Up The Sun!, which begun production late last year.
Emily in Paris favorite Lucas Bravo also stars, as well as Aisling Franciosi and Almudena Amor.
The synopsis for the movie reads: "Two couples arrive at countryside mansion they booked unknowingly together. They discover strange occurrences during stay."

Filming is thought to have now wrapped, and one scene that was shot last month left McAvoy a little bit red-faced.
He'd been filming an orgy for the movie, when the 44-year-old ended up injuring himself.
Recalling the 'improvised orgy scene' on the Restless Natives podcast, McAvoy explained: "It was hardcore dancing, everybody is on drugs, we had all drunk loads of whisky and there was loads of kissing, groping and disrobing."
He went on: "There’s this amazing Spanish actor called Almudena Amor and we had to go at it with each other. We had to be funny with it but properly go for it and we were both in the same headspace. So, we get to this improvised orgy and she’s bigger than me, she’s like 5ft 11in.

"At one point I was holding her upside down and we were doing some weird thing and somebody grabbed me on the back of the neck to start biting my neck."
The bite caused McAvoy to lose his balance and he 'decked it'. Hitting his knee in the process, the Split star admitted that it's 'the only time I’ve been injured making a film'.
