Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about the anxiety she has while filming and explained one preference she has when it comes to filming intimacy.

When it comes to being a Hollywood actor, the occasional kiss scene or sex scene might be included in a script and actors are very much expected to play their roles to perfection.

With that said, it can still be pretty awkward, even when the Hollywood A-listers obviously aren’t actually having sex.

Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about this awkwardness and anxiety she has felt in her career when it comes to shooting intimacy and revealed a preference she has for it.

During a chat with Josh Horowitz at 92NY about her latest film, Die My Love, who she stars in alongside Robert Pattinson, she admitted she does still get anxiety before shooting a new film.

She noted that she prefers to get the awkward scenes out of the way especially when working with someone new.

Speaking about a scene from the film, where she shot a ‘naked sex tiger’ with Pattinson, she said they did this on the first day of filming and the whole situation was made easier by the fact the two were basically strangers.

She explained: “It was actually easier that way because Rob and I did not know each other, which is kind of better, you know.”

She went on to explain the intimacy scenes she had to shoot with long-time friend Josh Hutcherson, when the pair were in the Hunger Games franchise.

While laughing, Lawrence added: “Like in Hunger Games, like me and Josh Hutcherson would have to kiss and that's like… Imagine it.

“You know, it's weirder and so yeah, doing it with a stranger is preferable.”

Lawrence has also previously praised Pattinson for his acting prowess and ability, as his character plays her husband in the film.

Speaking to V Magazine, Lawrence said: “Rob brought so much more dimension to the film as a whole.

“He really held firm with this kind of backbone for his character which gave me so much more to push back against.

“I’ve never worked with an actor who was really in such a similar place as me in our lives, being new parents, which was so lovely and also built up natural trust.

“Rob is sensationally smart and really sweet. So it was fun. I enjoyed working with Rob immensely.”
