Actor Daniel Stern has revealed why he has no intention of attending any of the upcoming anniversary events for Home Alone.
Christmas is basically around the corner, and that means observing all the major traditions; arguing with family members, doing no work in the office, and watching classic Christmas films.
There is no question that once you have finished watching Die Hard and the Harry Potter films, you will inevitably throw up one of the greatest festive flicks, Home Alone.
For those who have somehow never seen it, the first film in the franchise focuses on Kevin McCallister who is mistakenly left home alone while his large family go on holiday.

While in the middle of enjoying the pleasures of solitude, the young Kevin must fend off petty criminals, Harry (played by Joe Pesci) and Marv (played by Daniel Stern), who attempt to break into his lavish home to steal all they can get their hands on.

Kevin manages to cleverly outwit the pair of criminals with a barrage of booby traps perfect for slapstick comedy.
While it's a Christmas must for its fans all around the world, one of the key stars won’t be attending any of the upcoming anniversary events as the film turns 35.

Daniel Stern, who played one half of the Wet/Sticky bandits, has spoken candidly about why he isn’t really all that interested in showing face, despite fans’ love of the two films he starred in.
First and foremost, Stern has essentially left Hollywood and focuses on other ventures, as he's said that he is now an artist and farmer.
The 68-year-old currently lives on a farm in California with his wife, where they raise cows and tend to groves of citrus trees, and he works as a sculptor.
Speaking to PEOPLE about why he isn’t keen on attending any anniversary events, Stern said: “I don't leave my farm. It's no offense to the movie. I'm just ... a phone call, Zoom call, I'm in. but... I'm a bit of a homebody.

“I love knowing that everybody loves it, but like, actual people come at me and say, 'We love it', It's a little overwhelming sometimes.”
Despite being a little overwhelmed, Stern did also note that while filming, he knew they had something special.
He added: “I did know that it was a gem of a movie. It was so funny, it was so true, and so I did know that. I was hopeful that we were making a great movie. I had no idea obviously - no one could - of the longevity of its life."
