Gwen Stefani moved to tears as Blake Shelton tells heartwarming story about the first time they met

Stefani was having her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Blake Shelton has moved his wife Gwen Stefani to tears during her ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Stefani had been having her star revealed on the famous walkway, joining the more than 2,700 stars including Muhammad Ali, Charlie Chaplin, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Her husband Blake Shelton made a heartwarming speech at the Walk of Fame Ceremony, which reduced the singer to tears.

Shelton said: “The first time that I ever met Gwen was in 2014. She wasn’t like any other famous person that I had ever met before.

"She drove herself to work in a black minivan with car seats in it."

He added: "She didn’t roll in with security. She came in with a baby and two little boys, which at the time worked like security because nobody was going near — it was chaos."

The singer went on to say that it was clear that Stefani cares more about her sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, who were present at the ceremony, than she does about stardom.

Shelton reduced Stefani to tears with his speech.

He said: “It was clear to me that she was a mother first and foremost over anything else in the world — that was her No. 1 job.

“And now, standing here almost 10 years later after I first met her, I can say without question that being a mother is still the most important thing in her life. And I got to tell you all, that’s rare in this business."

Shelton went on to describe what it was that made him fall in love with Stefani.

The pair first met in 2014 and formed a close friendship in 2015 as both of their marriages began to break down. They married in 2021.

Stefani was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Shelton said: "She has risen to the top over and over again with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her."

Glancing over at Stefani, he added: "Not as much as me, though."

He went on to describe Stefani's star quality, that she just has 'it', saying: "It’s that thing that she was just born with that will make you stop and go, ‘Wait. Who is that? What’s her name? What does she do? Why do I love her already? What the hell?'"

He added: "That’s the thing that God gives you. And without question, God gave Gwen an extra scoop of it."
