Fans think they’ve worked out the secret meaning behind Taylor Swift’s Grammys 2024 dress

Taylor Swift stunned at last night's 66th Annual Grammy Awards and some fans think her outfit holds a deeper meaning too.

Fans think Taylor Swift's Grammys dress may hold a hidden meaning.

Taylor Swift is the talk of the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles last night (5 February).

Not only did the pop star receive the 'Album of the Year' award for the fourth year running - presented to her by Celine Dion - but Trevor Noah also took the opportunity to weigh in on NFL fans beef with Swift.

On top of it all, her dress is causing quite the stir online too.

Swift turned up to the event wearing a gorgeous black-and-white ensemble.

She wore a floor-length, strapless, white dress featuring a flowing train and leg slit.

The 'Blank Space' singer accessorised the look with black gloves and a layering of necklaces.

One of the necklaces seemingly acted as a nod to her album Midnights - which she won her 'Album of the Year' award for - with the top choker featuring a clock set to, you guessed it, midnight.

And fans think the rest of her outfit had a deeper meaning too.

At the Golden Globes last month, Swift wore a green Gucci dress which many Swifties believed to be representative of a snake.

But why a snake?

Well, during Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour, she brought out a giant inflatable snake during her performance of 'Look What You Made Me Do', and so fans and Vogue alike joined the dots and saw the outfit as a nod to the album and song.

Following along the same trend, fans now believe Swift's black-and-white ensemble for the Grammys also links to one or more of her albums.

One suggestion is that her black-and-white ensemble pays homage to the black-and-white album cover of her 2017 album Reputation - which Swift is expected to re-release soon, as part of her regaining control over her master recordings.

An X - formerly known as Twitter - user wrote: "Taylor Swift full dress giving reputation at the #GRAMMYs."

"Taylor Swift dress for the grammy is such a served. Like it is so reputation coded just to turns out i’m clowning," another added.

A third commented: "Maybe she wears a white dress because now she is almost completely pure, she has overcome all of it and she feels ready to face the 'new' Reputation."

And a final added: "Taylor Swift is wearing a white dress, black gloves and a choker ala Reputation!"

Another theory is that the outfit pays tribute to her new album The Tortured Poets - set for release 19 April - which is similarly monochromatic in its cover image.

So, what do you think Swifties?
