Eminem and Hailie Jade have an incredibly close bond
It’s time to feel old, now that rap legend Eminem is a grandfather.
When Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade, announced the arrival of her first child with her husband, Evan McClintock, people were shocked.
Surely, Hailie is still the same little girl who featured on her father’s tracks, and was the subject of many of his lyrics back in the 2000s?
Nope, she’s a fully fledged grown up now, who is a mom, making Eminem a gramps!

But while it was big news, one little detail about the baby’s name has been even more of a shock, but In the most heartwarming way.
Hailie took to Instagram to announce the news today on April 4, after telling the world that she was expecting a baby late last year.
Hailie and Evan got married in May 2024, and just five months later, Eminem's family went on to share that it would be expanding.
It was all announced via the Rap God’s music video, where he featured clips of old home videos of Hailie Jade before showing the moment that his daughter told him that she was pregnant.
Just days later, Hailie announced on her podcast, Just A Little Shady, that she was carrying a baby boy, and did a gender-reveal balloon pop to show everyone the good news.
Now that the little bundle is finally here, Hailie shared a picture of the three week old, and confirmed his name…which fans can’t get enough of as they make a cute connection.
She wrote in her Instagram caption, next to the image of her little baby: "happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e."
His name was announced as Elliot Marshall McClintock.
Marshall is a clear reference to her father’s name, as he is Marshall Mathers.
But that’s not what shocked people.
It’s his initials.
Immediately, people put two and two together to share that Hailie had basically named her baby, Eminem.
One person wrote: “His initials are EM & M Genius! What a little cutie.”
Another said: “His initials are “Em” stop!!!!”
Someone else wrote: “His name is EM&M.”
Eminem announced his daughter’s pregnancy when he dropped the music video for his song, 'Temporary', on October 3.
The song is dedicated to Hailie Jade, and the video tells the story of how the pair have grown up through the years as dad and daughter.
But in one moment, you get to see a very important woman to his music.
His ex-wife Kim Scott.

The pair share Hailie, so of course she was going to be there for her daughter’s wedding.
In the video which shows Eminem tearing up at seeing his daughter in her dress, you can see Kim walk into the room beding them, but fans clocked her immediately thaniks to her arm tattoo.
A clip of the moment featuring Kim was shared on Twitter, and people were shocked to see her.
