Eminem becomes a grandfather as his daughter Hailie Jade announces birth of her first child

Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade, has announced the arrival of her first child with her husband, Evan McClintock.

The Rap God is officially a Rap Grandad!

Hailie took to Instagram to announce the news of her new arrival today (April 4), after previously revealing in October that she and Evan were expecting a baby.

The pregnancy came after Hailie and Evan tied the knot in May 2024, and was announced in Eminem's music video for his song 'Temporary'.

In the heartwarming video, Eminem featured dozens of old home videos of Hailie Jade before cutting to footage of Hailie telling her dad that she was expecting. In a post on Instagram shared shortly after the release of the video, Hailie shared a snap with 'Mom + Dad 2025' written on the wall, with a caption which read: "Our family is growing by two little feet. This will be the most special project yet."

Just a few days later, Hailie announced on her podcast, Just A Little Shady, that she and Evan were expecting a baby boy.

Evan joined his wife on the podcast to do a gender-reveal using a balloon, which was filled with blue confetti.

"It's a boy!" the couple announced, as Hailie added: "We're so excited, too. When we found out, Evan was like, 'They're going to hunt with me. They're going to go golfing with me. I've got a little buddy.'"

Fast forward a few months, and Hailie has now revealed that her and Evan's son arrived three weeks ago in mid-March, a little earlier than expected.

Alongside a snap of the baby, she wrote: "happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e."

The image also revealed the name given to Hailie and Evan's son - Elliot Marshall McClintock.

The little boy's middle name is, of course, a reference to Hailie's dad, whose real name is Marshall Mathers.

Fans have been left overwhelmed by the revelation, with one writing: "Not me tearing up at the middle name like I'm related."

"He is absolutely perfect. Congratulations @hailiejade," added another.

The announcement of baby Elliot's arrival came after Hailie opened up about her excitement to welcome her newest little family member into the world during an episode of her podcast on February.

“It’s so weird to think about… I can't even wrap my head around it,” Hailie said at the time, saying: “I have to meet this human that I've created. What's he gonna look like? What's his personality gonna be [like]? It’s strange but super exciting.”
