Angelica Ross accuses Emma Roberts of being transphobic to her on American Horror Story set

The Pose actor slammed Emma's behaviour on the set of the horror series ahead of the latest season

Angelica Ross has accused Emma Roberts of being transphobic to her on the set of American Horror Story.

The Pose actor featured in the 2019 and 2021 seasons of the horror TV series, playing Donna Chambers, The Chemist and Theta.

Roberts has starred in the series since 2013, and will play Anna Alcott in the upcoming season, entitled Delicate.

But Ross, who identifies as a trans woman, has made damming claims against the American Horror Story star during an Instagram Live.

The 42-year-old opened up about her relationship with Roberts on Tuesday 19 September.

This all came after Ross began speaking about her time on the show over on X, promising to show ‘receipts’ for her claims.

Before the live, she tweeted: “Will also tell you about the transphobic remarks my co-star said to my face, and the racism I complained about on set that they said was 'free speech'. We on strike so you know I got time this week.”

During the live stream, Ross claims Emma playfully complained ‘Angelica’s being mean’.

“And John is like ‘Ok ladies, you know, that’s enough let’s get back to work’. And she then looks at me and she goes, ‘Don’t you mean lady?’

“She turns around like this and covers her mouth, and goes back her but can’t see that I’m looking at her deada** in the camera like ‘what the f**k did you just say?’.

She claims that after this alleged interaction, she never spoke a word to Roberts again when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Ross added: “If I say something, it’s going to be me. And I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing and they got repercussions from it.”

The star went on to claim: “We had scenes together and I never spoke to her.”

Ross also wrote on X: “The funniest part? We’re all sitting around & I’m copying Cody’s accent. Didn’t know he had one. Emma then copies my voice & laugh and drops it several octaves.

“I was SHOOK. She read me for blood with my own words, of course I was self conscious about my voice on set after that.”

Following the response to her claims about Roberts, Ross recently tweeted: “Let me make something absolutely clear.

“I appreciate the support but please do not joke about violence towards Emma. Joke about her being held accountable. Now THATs funny.”

UNILAD has contacted Emma Roberts’ team for comment.
