Elon Musk gives his opinion on Trump now following public feud

The Tesla CEO also spoke about the Trump administration's border control efforts

Elon Musk has given a six-word verdict on President Donald Trump months after stepping away from fronting the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

On Friday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the UFC commentator, 58, welcomed back Musk, 54, for the second time this year.

The business magnate, who was marking his eighth total appearance on the popular long-form project, spoke for more than three hours, during which he detailed his true thoughts on Trump, 79.

Musk publicly and financially endorsed the Republican during his 2024 Presidential Election campaign, later being appointed to head DOGE, tasked with curbing government spending and addressing the United States' multi-trillion-dollar debt.

In December 2024, the Tesla CEO left the Trump administration and relinquished his role as the guiding force behind DOGE.

Since then, the pair have been embroiled in various public feuds, with the father-of-five soon admitting he was ‘disappointed’ with Musk’s behavior.

This led to the latter claiming via social media that Trump was implicated in the files of disgraced American financier Jeffrey Epstein, a claim which he seemingly went back on, and that he would have lost to former Vice President Kamala Harris if it weren’t for him.

In October, Trump claimed the pair were now on speaking terms after their various spats.

Now, Musk has confessed his brutally honest feelings, explaining to Rogan that while Trump isn’t ‘perfect’, he isn’t as ‘evil’ as he is made out to be.

He claimed that Joe Biden's administration 'was not exactly my best friend, especially after I helped Trump get elected', adding: “Some people still think, you know, Trump is like the devil, basically.”

Musk continued: "The media coverage [on him] is exuberant, And, I mean, I think, I think Trump actually is not perfect, but, but he’s not evil. Trump is not evil. I spent a lot of time with him, and he’s, I mean, he’s a product of his time, but he is not, he’s not evil. The media coverage [on him] is exuberant.”

Rogan agreed that the President wasn’t evil, to which Musk then responded: “The media treats him like he’s super evil. It’s pretty shocking.”

In September, Musk and Trump were spotted sitting next to each other at Charlie Kirk's funeral, with the entrepreneur later posting a picture of them talking, providing a brief explanation for their reunion.

Trump later revealed more about what happened, as he told reporters: "Elon came over and said hello. I thought it was nice he came up and had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship. But it was nice that he came down."
