Grimes has apologised to fans for causing a 'great inconvenience' due to experiencing 'family issues'.
The Canadian singer-songwriter - real name Claire Elise Boucher - has been releasing music since 2006 and has built up a loyal following for her experimental pop style.
Outside of her music career, she dated Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and the pair went on to have three children - X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus - before ultimately parting ways in 2021.

Grimes, 37, has been outspoken about their relationship, as well as his antics since then, on her social media platforms and the difficulties of co-parenting their children.
And Grimes has since taken to Twitter to reveal that 'family issues' have led her to cancel an upcoming performance.

The singer took to the platform on May 26 to write: "Hello friends, I am so so sorry and regretful to say I have to cancel my pride show in order to deal with family issues.

"I want to say that I am aware the situation has been a great inconvenience to the fans for some time, and I am truly determined to make sure this is no longer the case very soon.
"I think the show is still going to be amazing and the lineup is great. I hope this is early enough and gives people enough time if they wish to change their plans. And I *will* make this up to you guys very soon.
"So much love always, G."
It follows Grimes condemning Musk for bringing their eldest son to the White House and featuring him on TV.

AE A-XII - known as X - appeared on TV in the background in the Oval Office as Musk - head of US President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) - went to witness the signing of an executive order.
After being alerted to one of her children being on TV by a Twitter user who praised the child's manners, Grimes wrote: "He should not be in public like this.
"I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh."

Grimes also took to Twitter in a series of now-deleted posts begging Musk to 'respond' about their 'child's medical crisis'.
In a post shared in February earlier this year, Grimes wrote: "Plz respond about our child's medical crisis. I'm sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.

"If you don't want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon."

When a Twitter user suggested 'going public' probably wouldn't help with the situation, Grimes allegedly responded, as per PEOPLE: "I'm not giving any details but he won't respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn't respond asap.
"So I need him to f**king respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that's where we're at."
UNILAD has contacted Musk's representatives for comment.
