Elon Musk's French office raided by Paris authorities as they release statement

The French offices of X have been raided by the Paris prosecutor's cyber-crime unit as an investigation into a series of alleged crimes continues.

Elon Musk's company is being looked into regarding suspected unlawful data extraction and 'complicity in the possession of child pornography'.

A statement by French authorities stated: "At this stage, the conduct of the investigation is based on a constructive approach, with the aim of ultimately ensuring that the X platform complies with French law, as it operates on the national territory."

The investigation was initially launched in January 2025 as officials in France looked into X's algorithm.
