Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée showed off her engagement ring on social media, and people can’t believe one thing.
Cristiano Ronaldo, AKA the greatest soccer player to ever lace up the boots (depending on who you want to annoy), stunned the world yesterday with a big announcement.
But the announcement had nothing to do with sport; rather, it's one about his personal life.
He and his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez are now engaged, and the pair celebrated this with a quick snap on Instagram of them holding hands, with Rodríguez showing off her engagement ring for all to see.

Writing in Spanish for the caption, Rodriguez said: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
But just like most social media posts from celebrities, everyone had something to say, this time about the ring.
People on social media couldn’t help but comment their shock and awe at just the size of the rock which, to be fair, is bigger than you might expect, even for a billionaire like Ronaldo.
One Twitter user commented: “This rock is massive. @Cristiano blew the freaking room off with this ring.”
Another added: “Cristiano just gave his girl the biggest engagement ring on the planet.”
While a third commented: “It finally clicked for Cristiano. That ring is as big as an ostrich egg!”
With another agreeing and writing: “DAYUM the ring that Georgina got from Cristiano is crazy.”
The couple have been together for nine years, after they met at a Gucci shop in Madrid where Rodríguez was working. At the time, Ronaldo was playing Spanish club Real Madrid.
Ronaldo has five children in total, two of which he shares with Rodríguez.
Many people have questioned why Ronaldo hadn’t previously asked the question to his partner despite them sharing children together and being together so long.
He previously explained himself going: "I always tell her, 'when we get that click.' Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about.
"It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I'm 1,000 per cent sure that it'll happen."
Georgina has meanwhile joked about the wait for the proposal, saying that her friends have teased her by asking when the wedding is.
She added: “Since Jennifer Lopez's song 'The Ring Or When' came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me."
