Cher made quite a few blunders at the Grammys that likely had people behind the scenes panicking as she tried to leave the stage early and made a mistake with an announcement.
Despite the fun and light atmosphere during the Grammy Awards show, there are a lot of people behind the scenes who make sure it runs as smoothly as possible.
Unfortunately, Cher seemed to put a stop to all that with a series of missteps.
On February 1, the 'Believe' singer made a surprise appearance to accept her 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and even gave an acceptance speech.

In a speech that delighted the crowd, she said: “I knew what I wanted to be when I was five years old, and I was famous at 19, and had a top-rated show in my twenties, actually.

“But it didn’t occur to me how rough my career was going to be and my life was going to be. And I’m not saying, ‘Oh, poor me,’ but whatever. I was either a loser or winning an Oscar. I’m sure a lot of you in the audience know what I’m talking about.”
She then concluded her speech by saying: “Never give up on your dream, no matter what happens. Live it, be it, and if it’s not happening now, it will happen soon. So that’s all I have to say. Thank you.”
At this point, it was a job well done, so Cher decided to try to leave the stage, as she said, "I guess I'm supposed to walk off now, alright," before turning and slowly making her way to the exit while the audience applauded.
However, comedian and host Trevor Noah appears to nervously call her back, asking if she could read out the nominees for 'Record of the Year'.
At the same time, someone from behind the stage can be seen talking to Cher, likely telling her to stay out there.
Ever the professional, the 79-year-old appeared to smile through the whole ordeal; however, that wouldn't be her only slip-up of the night.
While announcing the 'Record of the Year' nominees, Cher was seemingly waiting for the teleprompter to tell her who had won, leading to an awkward pause before she opened the envelope in her hand.
She then called out that the Record of the Year went to Luther Vandross...who died 20 years ago.
The actual winners were rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer SZA, with the winning song being ‘Luther’, which included a sample of the soul singer, so she wasn't too far off.
The stars seemed to recognize the mistake as it happened as they both stood up and thanked those around them before making their way to the stage.
Noah then joked: "I love live television."
