Multiple film fans have raised a noteworthy point about Bryce Dallas Howard after she opened up about her struggle to get into the acting business.
Now 42 years old, Howard is a familiar face in Hollywood who's starred in a number of huge titles, including The Help, Jurassic World, Rocketman and 2007's Spider-Man 3.
The actor is no doubt an inspiration to many people hoping to get into the business, but film fans have called attention to a notable factor in her route to stardom.

The comments came after Howard spoke about her career during a discussion with Marie Forleo in 2020, when she described the acting industry as 'crazy, unwieldy [and] uncertain'.
In the interview, Howard recalled an experience she had when she was 16 years old, when her grandmother told her working actors go on an average of 64 auditions before landing a role.
"It was just this clarifying moment for me to have an understanding of what the odds statistically were," the star said.
Having taken a break to raise her children, Howard's grandmother, an actor herself, then got back into the job and auditioned for more than 100 parts before finally landing a role.

"So when I started auditioning... I just started counting... and I promised myself I wasn't going to get upset if I didn't book something before 64 auditions," Howard said.
"It was, I believe, the 48th audition for me was- I got that job," she recalled.
Howard recalled how her agent later asked her why she didn't give up after receiving so many rejections - to which The Village star told her the story about her grandmother.

Speaking to Forleo, Howard recalled how her agent replied: "I wish more creative people understood that because then they wouldn't be so hard on themselves."
After watching Howard's interview, many fans celebrated her rise to fame - but others pointed out that her grandmother wasn't the only film worker in the family.
"YOUR DAD IS RON HOWARD," one person pointed out.

While another said that they 'wondered who her dad is'.
Ron Howard is a renowned film director and producer, known for titles including Thirteen Lives, Backdraft and Inferno.
Knowing this, some film fans also looked closer at Howard's acting credits and noted that her first four acting credits; Parenthood, Apollo 13, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and A Beautiful Mind, were all films directed by her father.
"She's really acting here like she's really portraying herself as someone whose first several acting credits weren't in her father's projects," one critic commented.

The first film Howard starred in that wasn't directed by her father came in 2004, when she appeared in the Alan Brown-led film Book of Love.
In a 2017 chat with Interview Magazine, Howard expressed belief that 'everyone has what it takes to be a good actor innately within them', but she hoped she was continually 'improving' at her job.
