A woman who was called the 'most beautiful girl in the world' in a famous photo has opened up about her health struggles.
Thylane Blondeau featured in a famous photo when she was just six years old. The image, which showed the blonde-haired and blue-eyed girl, saw her hailed as the 'most beautiful girl in the world', and would help to launch a high-profile modelling career for her in the following years.
Blondeau had first gone onto the runway when she was just three years old, being picked out of a crowd at the Champs-Élysées by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
Since then, Blondeau, who is now 24 years old, has opened up publicly about her life since the iconic image.

Unfortunately, this included a health struggle which saw her in excruciating pain and undergoing surgery to put it right.

Blondeau, who is the daughter of footballer Patrick Blondeau, revealed that in 2020 she had to have surgery for an ovarian cyst, which 'exploded in my stomach'.
Taking to Instagram, she posted photos from her hospital bed revealing her ordeal.

The model explained that she had previously had surgery three months earlier, but had once again started to experience pain.
She wrote: "At the beginning everyone ( and I ofc ) thought it was because of the operation.

"This year I saw three different gynaecologists, I’ve seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and all of them said the same thing, “don’t worry U have nothing it’s all in your head."

In the end, she said that she had to go to the ER because 'my belly was hurting so much I couldn’t handle it anymore'.
When she arrived, she said: "They said that everything was fine and that I had a lil cyst and I will have to do a check up in 2-3 months."
But when she had a follow-up appointment, Blondeau discovered that things were a lot worse.

"The day after this I had this appointment with an amazing doctor who directly saw that I had a cyst of 5,6 cm who was touching my ovary," she said.
"So he sent me to do an IRM and an hour after this the doctor called me and ask me to go straight to the hospital to do an emergency operation."
Blondeau revealed that prior to this, she had felt 'crazy' because of how much she had complained about stomach pain, but all the while the cyst had been there.
"Today I’m finally feeling better I’m finally feeling free I really thought I was crazy for complaining about my stomach for so long," she said. "Happy that I’ve never gave up."

And Blondeau added that from now on she will always trust her body and advocate for herself.
"From this experience I’ve learned that when your body hurts, don’t let it slide and take care of it," she said.
"You must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heals it. Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important."
