Taylor Swift showed off her engagement ring and people have been losing themselves as they notice how Cillian Murphy reacted.
In case you somehow haven’t found out this information (even against your will), Taylor Swift is currently engaged to Travis Kelce.
Swifties have been losing their minds over this news, they were understandably excited to hear what Swift - whose new album The Life of a Showgirl features some interesting tracks about Kelce and Charli XCX - had to say about the ring in her latest public appearance.
On Friday, (October 3) Swift, alongside a group of other celebs went on the UK’s Graham Norton Show.
The celebrities rubbing shoulders with Swift included Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi and Domhnall Gleeson as well as Cillian Murphy.
TV show host Norton naturally asked Swift about the engagement ring on her finger.
She got visibly giddy and joked it was a ‘hardware upgrade’ while showing off the ring to him.
Many joked Cilian Murphy wasn't nearly as excited as Taylor Swift was as she showed off her engagement ring (BBC) She then proceeded to show the other celebs on the couch while the crowd began cheering loudly.
However it was Murphy who was able to capture people’s attention on social media.
Not because of how he reacted to the ring... well, because of how he didn’t really react.
Many users found it hilarious how the star seemed pretty unmoved throughout the whole commotion, just clapping and smiling throughout the moment.
On Twitter, one user wrote: “I’m crying… He doesn’t even want to be there. He’s so unintentionally funny.”
Another added: “He really is nonchalance final boss. The way he doesn’t have a closer peek when Taylor extends her hand. His body doesn’t even move.”
With a third writing: “Have you guys seen that video where Taylor Swift is showing off her engagement ring and Cillian Murphy is clapping for her?? it’s just too funny that guy is trying hard to give a s**t.”
With another writing: “The mental gymnastics Cillian is performing just to get through this is admirable.”
And another commented: “Cillian Murphy delivering a look on behalf of those of us who just don’t get Taylor Swift.”
People caught on to Murphy's lack of reaction to being shown the ring(BBC) But while it may have appeared to some that Murphy seemed pretty uninterested in the whole thing, he did open up about his venture in the music industry.
Murphy was in a band called The Sons of Mr Green Genes as a teenager in the 90s and he said they got offered a five-album deal which they decided to turn down.
While laughing he told Swift: “We were kids and we got offered this record deal.
"My brother [Páidi] was in the band, and he was only 18. My parents went ‘no’. They wouldn't let him ruin his life.
"So they allowed me to go and potentially ruin [mine], but then we all just disbanded, and it didn't happen."
