First indication of family 'feud' as David and Victoria Beckham’s son confirms older brother Brooklyn has them all 'blocked'

A supposed rift at the heart of the Beckham family is believed to have been brewing for years, with soccer legend David and singer-turned-designer Victoria's relationship with their son Brooklyn recently sinking to a new low.

The reports of a family feud appeared to be confirmed when it emerged that Brooklyn, 26, and wife Nicola Peltz, 30, were no longer being followed by the older Beckhams on Instagram.

But rather than the parents unfollowing their distant eldest son, it seems that Brooklyn and Nicola may have blocked David, 50, and Victoria, 51. Their youngest son Cruz, 20, replied to questions about the family on his social media profile, stating the brutal truth.

"NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.. Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked... as did I," Cruz said.

But the first indication that a rift between Brooklyn, Nicola, and his parents had cemented came earlier this year at David's birthday party.

In April of this year, the family celebrated David's 50th birthday with a number of star-studded parties and celebrations, but while the rest of the Beckham clan were seen living it up, Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen.

At the time, an insider source told People that the couple had been invited but were a no-show, adding: "The relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life."

Other reports indicated that Brooklyn and Nicole may have even flown to London from their home in Beverly Hills for the birthday bash, but one of the people on the guest list meant they had steered clear.

Second son Romeo, 23, had brought his girlfriend, the DJ Kim Turnbull, to his dad's birthday party with a separate source telling the publication that Brooklyn had a history with Turnbull and stayed away.

They said: "Brooklyn didn't want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that... but David opted to have Kim there over Nicola."

Another insider concurred, saying: "Brooklyn and Kim know each other from the past, and his family knows he's not comfortable around her."

However, younger brother Cruz has also shot down this speculation, responding on social media by saying that 'Brooklyn and Kim never dated.' Another source confirmed this to PEOPLE, sharing a deeper insight into the family's difficulty.

They said that the couple had stayed in London 'for six days' trying to see father David for a private celebration, but were unable to see him. Then just a few months ago in August, this issue seemed to be confirmed, when David and Victoria did not attend their son's marriage vow renewal.

It appears that trouble has been brewing since before the couple got married in 2021, after Nicola had indicated that she would wear one of Victoria's designs when she walked down the aisle to marry her son.

Another source said 'Victoria told Nicola that she'd love to make her wedding dress, and Nicola said it would be her honor,' but when the bride did not wear one of her dresses on the big day, it immediately sparked rumors of a disagreement.

But Nicola later told Variety: "I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn't say you can't wear it; I didn't say I didn't want to wear it. That's where it started, and then they ran with that."

David and Victoria have not commented publicly, with another insider sharing the sadness of the situation, saying: "As ever the Beckhams have stayed above it all despite constant attacks through the media. It’s sad as they love their son and they have all tried so hard with Nicola but it’s become impossible.”
