Britney Spears fans have wasted no time criticising her ex-husband Kevin Federline after he made a shocking announcement about his next career move.
The Grammy-winning pop icon, 43, shares two sons with the former dancer, 47. They were locked in a custody battle after their divorce in 2007, a period of time which was particularly difficult for Spears.
And now, Federline is apparently trying to tell all about the private details of his marriage to the ‘Gimme More’ singer. He is planning to release a book in which he will share the ‘extremely intimate and transparent’ details about their ‘highly publicised’ three-year marriage.
In a press release announcing the book, which is set to be named You Thought You Knew, Federline said: “I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced non-stop emotional turbulence.”

He also teased: "If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here."
However, Spears’ fans have zero interest in whatever Federline is planning to say in his book, with the pop singer’s reporters using social media to bash the book.
“‘Finally’ telling his story? Please, he can keep us waiting indefinitely for all we care,” one fan shared on Reddit in a thread about the book.

Another fan complained: “He will milk the relationship he had with Britney till the end of time. I am tired of this man...”
While a third person chimed in and wrote: “I look forward to not reading this.”
And a fourth fan pondered: “The only interesting thing he did in his life was be married to Britney for like five minutes. How is he writing a whole book on this???”

Spears and Federline got engaged quickly after they started dating in 2004 and by the end of the year they tied the knot.
The couple became headline news and were frequently scrutinized, particularly after the debut of their reality series Britney and Kevin: Chaotic in May 2005.
Their first son together, Sean Preston Federline, was born on September 14, 2005, and his younger brother, Jayden James Federline, was born almost exactly a year later on September 12, 2006. Around the time their second son was born, rumors of trouble in the marriage began to surface.
In November 2006, Spears filed for divorce, and the proceedings were finalised the following July. But a custody battle over the two boys intensified in 2007, as Spears' personal life and legal trouble became fodder for tabloid news.

Federline was granted sole physical and legal custody of their sons in January 2008 after Spears’ public breakdown. Her conservatorship began that same year.
Spears wrote about her relationship with Federline in her own memoir, recalling how their marriage ended because Federline was fame-hungry.
In her memoir, The Woman in Me, she said: "One time he came home late and told me he'd been at a party. 'Justin Timberlake was there!' he said. 'Lindsay Lohan was, too!' Kevin was so enthralled with the fame and power."
Spears recently stopped paying child support to her ex after their youngest son turned 18 last year.
