A body language expert has broken down Nicole Kidman's behavior at one of the first public events she's attended following her divorce from Keith Urban.
In September, TMZ reported that the couple - who tied the knot in 2006 - had separated and had been living apart 'since the beginning of summer'.
One of the publication's anonymous sources claimed that Kidman, 58, was 'holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone'.
It was also reported that Urban, 58, 'has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home' following the separation.

While the reason for the split remains unclear, court documents seen by People revealed that Kidman asked to become the primary residential parent of their two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret.

Amid all of that, Kidman made an appearance at Vogue World: Hollywood in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday (October 26), opening and closing the show alongside director Baz Luhrmann.
It is one of the few times the actor has been seen in public since news of the divorce came to light, so it would be understandable if she wasn't on top form.

However, according to body language expert Darren Stanton, Kidman is ‘making a statement’ amid the high-profile divorce.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton said: "She is looking supremely confident. Her hand is spread, which creates more space and the more space we create, the more confident and outgoing we want to be.

"She is not showing any signs of nervousness. She is non-verbally saying, ‘Look at me, I’m back’, and I’m super confident. From her choice of dress, body language and posture, she has confidence in abundance."

The body language expert continued: "Her smile is genuine, she is loving the attention, not in an egotistical way, but in a positive sense that she feels great and looks great. She is making a statement, saying she is back and she is feeling good."
Following news of the divorce being in the public domain, Kidman offered an honest assessment of the current situation in an interview with Vogue.
However, she did not name her former husband.

When asked how she felt in her 50s, the Babygirl star said: "How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?"
Urban, meanwhile, has addressed speculation regarding a change in his lyrics.
