Despite the rumors that Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have distanced themselves, the latter has weighed in on Swift’s latest album.
While Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship is long documented, many feared the pair were drifting as a result of Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Lively launched a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star last December, accusing him of sexual harassment and of allegedly participating in a 'smear campaign' against her. Baldoni has denied this as well as any wrongdoing.
Baldoni then filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for $400 million in damages, though this was dismissed by a judge in June.

Baldoni’s legal team claimed Swift has agreed to a deposition in the case; however, Swift's lawyer has hit back at the swirling speculation of her involvement, asserting that she has 'no material role' in the case.
However, Lively has dampened the suggestion that the pair aren’t on best terms following the release of Swift’s new album, Life of a Showgirl.
Swift took to Instagram to announce the album release yesterday (October 3) and wrote: “Tonight all these lives converge here. The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears, Where fraternal souls sing identical things, And it’s beautiful, It’s rapturous, It is frightening.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.
“If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain... The Life of a Showgirl is out now.”

While Swift didn’t allow comments on the Instagram post, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Lively was one of the seven million people to throw Swift a like.
While this might not seem like much, other fans have begun dissecting the album and suggested that the song ‘Cancelled’ may be about Lively, although Swift hasn’t actually confirmed this.
The 10th track on the album says that Taylor likes her ‘friends cancelled’ and goes on to note that they can always count on her friendship, regardless of what happens to them in the public eye.
However, it doesn't seem likely that this would be the case, given the fact that Swift wrote The Life of a Showgirl during her Eras Tour, which bowed out in December, before Blake first laid out her accusations against Baldoni.
