These days, a lot of kids growing up would love to become YouTuber's - making fun content and earning bags of money sounds like a dream, right?

And while many have admitted to having a lot of fun on the video platform, others have opened up on the detrimental impact it has had on their mental health.

Now, the world's most subscribed YouTuber, MrBeast, has said that he is so focused on making content for his channel that he has a 'mental breakdown every other week'.

MrBeast has been discussing his approach to work in a recent podcast.

The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, spoke about his approach to work on The Colin and Samir Show - a podcast hosted by filmmakers Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry.

On an episode posted on 27 June, MrBeast said: "I don't have a life. I don't have work-life balance. My personality, my soul, my being is making the best videos possible, entertaining my fans as best as I can. That is why I exist on this planet."

MrBeast continued by saying how he doesn't recommend that other people take on the same approach to working as him.

"I'm miserable a lot of times. I have a mental breakdown every other week because I push myself so hard," he said.

MrBeast did not exactly specify what he meant by a 'mental breakdown', though he did say how he recovers from such a setback.

"I just take a couple of hours off, I watch some anime, and then I'm good to go," he added.

The YouTube star also revealed how his daily life evolves around three activities; working out, making YouTube videos, and working on his Feastables chocolate brand.

For many, doing the daily exercise can be a struggle especially alongside the 9-5, but MrBeast combats that by taking a walk as he answers work calls.

MrBeast is not the first famous content creator to open about their mental health, with KSI discussing such topic in an interview with Men's Health in October 2022.

"I know there’s this stigma to therapy. But I think it’s more of an understanding of your own mind," the Prime maker told the outlet.

He added: "Why you think the way that you think, why you are the way that you are. If you’re able to understand that, then you’re able to control it.

"You’re able to do things to your advantage and be the best possible person that you can be."
