A reality TV star has explained why she still co-sleeps with her children.
Having a good night's sleep is important for our physical and mental health and often, co-sleeping with your kids means the whole family can get a decent night's rest.
Kristin Cavallari - who is mom to Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11 and Saylor, nine - recently opened up about her parenting during an episode of her Let's Be Honest podcast, explaining that her youngest children still sleep in her bed.
The Hills star co-parents with her ex-husband Jay Cutler. The pair divorced in 2022 after splitting two years earlier.

"Once Jaxon could walk so well, let's say, right after a year, when he realized, ‘Oh, wait, I can get out of my bed,’" Cavallari began.

"Once he realized he could get out of this bed, he came in my room - I'm not kidding, guys - every single night for four years, I'm not joking. Every single night for four years."
She continued: "I do let him sleep with me. Now it's one night a week.

"So when school started, I told Jaxon and Saylor, you guys get one night a week with me, we can't do every other night.
"I do enjoy sleeping with them. The problem is in the morning, because I get up before them, and then I have to be so quiet in my bathroom, like brushing my teeth, and washing my face, and getting dressed.
"I want to be able to have the freedom to move about my room and get dressed in the morning without worrying about waking someone up."
Cavallari's comments have led to a debate online, with many people agreeing with her decision to co-sleep.
One person explained on Reddit: "I really appreciate her saying this and normalizing it. In many parts of the world, entire families sleep in the same bed or room. Many people like the comfort of sleeping near another person. We don’t need to make everything weird."

While another said: "My kids would 100% sleep in my bed if I let them. They're around the same ages. This isn't strange. Let them stay little. Childhood goes by so quickly and adulthood sucks."

Another added: "I don’t care if that’s what she likes to do. I personally don’t like to co-sleep because my children move around too much and I’d never get any solid sleep, and I barely get any as it is right now lol."
And a fourth said: "As a parent who LOVED co-sleeping with my boys, my only concern is that now their classmates know. I don’t think my kids would have ever admitted that to their friends."
